Yvonne, a recently retired grandmother returns home to her native country, St. Kitts after working tirelessly in NYC for over 40 years. Her new mission is to figure out where her late mother is buried after not being able to return home for her funeral in fear of not being able to become a US citizen. This documentary follows Yvonne as she searches for her mother’s burial plot and highlights what many immigrant women have to sacrifice in order to create a better future for generations to come.
Yvonne visits her childhood home in Saint Kitts to reflect on her journey to New York and back.
